Creating a Personal Workspace

When it's created:

  • During onboarding if you choose "Use Personal Repos"

  • From workspace switcher: "Create Personal Workspace"

Setup process:

  • Name your workspace (e.g., "Mike's Repo")

  • Connect personal GitHub/GitLab repos

  • Select repository to analyze

  • View your individual productivity dashboard

Automatic configuration:

  • Free tier activated by default

  • No billing required initially

  • Full dashboard access for you only

Creating a Company Workspace

When it's created:

  • During onboarding if you're a GitHub/GitLab admin

  • When invited by existing company workspace admin

Setup process:

  • Name your workspace (e.g., "Acme Engineering")

  • Authorize Exceeds on organization repos

  • Admin approval required in GitHub or GitLab (if you're not an admin)

  • Select repositories to analyze

  • Invite team members (Pro tier)

Switching from Personal to Company

Migration Process

When your GitHub/GitLab admin approves Exceeds:

  • Click workspace switcher

  • Select "Create Company Workspace"

  • Complete company workspace setup

  • Personal workspace remains separate

Important:

  • Personal workspace data does NOT transfer to company workspace

  • You maintain access to both workspaces using the same login

  • Billing is separate for each workspace
