Exceeds Pilot Overview

The Exceeds pilot gives you a hands-on way to explore what Exceeds can do for your team — with no commitment required.

What's included

Duration: 7 days from the moment you connect your first repo.

Repos: Up to 5 repositories. These can be personal repos, work repos, or a mix — whatever is most representative of how you actually work. If you choose more than 5 repos, we will select the first 5 by default.

Users: The pilot is designed for a small number of users, typically the engineer or team lead setting things up, plus a few colleagues if you want to evaluate it together. It's not intended for org-wide rollout during the pilot phase.

What to connect

You can connect:

• Personal repos — great for solo exploration and getting a feel for the metrics

• Work repos — ideal if you want to see real signal from your team's actual activity

We recommend connecting repos that are actively used so you can see meaningful data within the 7-day window.

What happens after 7 days

At the end of your pilot, your access will pause. You'll be able to review your data and decide whether to upgrade to a full plan. Nothing is deleted — your connected repos and any historical data are preserved. If you choose not to continue, your data will be deleted after 60 days.

You'll be prompted to upgrade to either the Pro tier with extended features and repo support. You can also contact sales to explore the Enterprise tier if you're looking for full functionality.

Common questions

Can I add more repos during the pilot? You can connect up to 5 repos total. You can swap repos in and out via your SCM, but the 5-repo limit applies at any one time.

Does everyone on my team need an account? No. During the pilot, we recommend starting with just the person setting it up, and optionally 1–2 others who want to evaluate it with you. Broad team invites are better saved for after you've upgraded.

Will I lose my data when the pilot ends? No. Your data is retained. You'll be prompted to upgrade if you want to continue accessing it. If you choose not to continue, your data will be deleted after 60 days.
